Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw launches Romanian cinema program

The Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) in Warsaw is launching a new cinema program dedicated to members of the Romanian community and to anyone interested in Romania and Romanian language: Cinefani.ro.

The program will allow audiences to view masterpieces of 20th century Romanian cinema, most of which are shown in Poland for the first time. The program targets member of the Romanian diaspora in Poland and Romanian speaking Polish audiences.

The Cinefani.ro program will be launched January 30th, starting 18.00 at the ICR headquarters in Warsaw, with a showing of Dan Pita’s 1982 film The Contest (Concurs). The film will be shown in Romanian with Polish subtitles. The Romanian film evening are set to be organized on the last Wednesday of every month, in partnership with Romanian cinematographic institutions.
