Bucharest hosts, during 19-28 October the 28th edition of the National Theater Festival (NTF), with a schedule of over 100 artistic events, shows, exhibitions, book launches and meetings with special guests.
Festival is organized by UNITER (Romanian Association of Theater Artists), ARCUB (Cultural Center of Bucharest), “I.L. Caragiale” National Theatre, Bucharest, in co-operation with the Romanian Cultural Institute (RCI), with the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Identity and Bucharest City Hall.
This year’s edition is dedicated to theater director Cătălina Buzoianu, whose artistic projects and activity focused on theater teaching and staging have deeply influenced the Romanian theater over the last 50 years.
Event is held under the High Patronage of the President of Romania.
Director of the Festival, critic Marina Constantinescu, told Radio Romania News (RRA) that all the money earned from ticket sales will be donated to „Give Life” Association, for the construction of the first pediatric oncology and radiotherapy clinic in Romania.
